Overview

Gorham is a town in southern Ontario County, bordered to the north by Hopewell, to the east by Seneca, to the south by Yates County (town of Potter), and to the west by Canandaigua Lake and the town and city of Canandaigua.


Essentials

For most shopping needs, Gorham residents take a quick 11-mile drive northwest to Canandaigua, which has a thriving downtown commercial district and more. Canandaigua has a Tops Friendly Markets Store at 5150 north St. at Route 332, and a Wegmans supermarket on Eastern Boulevard (Routes 5 & 20)..



Recreation & Entertainment

Gorham has plenty of wide-open space, and most of the entertainment here is of the outdoor variety, such as fishing, hunting and hiking. Canandaigua Lake, one of the Finger Lakes, is popular with boaters, fishermen (and women) and other outdoor enthusiasts. Seneca Lake, the largest of the Finger Lakes, is about 25 miles east of Gorham.



Transportation & Traffic

Route 247 and Route 364 are north-south highways in Gorham. Route 14A is an east-west roadway.



Pros & Cons

Gorham has plenty of wide-open spaces and offers a lot of outdoor activities. You’re close to Canandaigua Lake to the west, and Seneca Lake is just a bit further away to the east. Proximity to Canandaigua is a plus.
